Gary Ellerson

Gary "The Mule" Ellerson, is no stranger to Milwaukee sports fans. After a stellar playing career at UW-Madison, Ellerson saw time in the USFL with the Memphis Showboats, where he was a teammate of the late Reggie White. He moved on to the NFL with the Green Bay Packers from 1985-86 and then with the Detroit Lions in 1987. Following his football career, Ellerson appeared as a TV analyst on "The Pack Attack" on WISN Channel 12.

Ellerson started out with WSSP as co-host of the Green and Gold Post Game Show. In 2005 he became a full-time employee at WSSP as co-host of the mid-day show.  Currently, Ellerson is co-host of the afternoon drive  "The Big Show", as well as continuing to host the Green and Gold Post Game. Ellerson also appears every Monday and Friday on CBS 58 during the Packer season for "Chalk Talk with Gary Ellerson."

Ellerson continues to be involved in the community and with the NFL Alumni Association, where he serves as Vice President of the Milwaukee chapter and champions the Alumni Golf outing to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Milwaukee. Steve "Sparky" Fifer

Steve "Sparky" Fifer started out his career in radio in Kenosha, WI interning for Tim Allen and helping to produce a weekend sports talk show for Tim Allen and John Weiser. After a couple of months of interning, he was put on the payroll and started jocking oldies at night on the AM station while engineering high school football and basketball games during the week. During this time he attended Gateway Technical College for Radio Broadcasting, while maintaing two other jobs outside of his radio gig. Afer ownership changed, he left to go to Lake Geneva to try his hand in sales. After three months of making every attempt, he didn't make one sale!! Management figured out they made a mistake and made him the morning show producer. While in that role he broke out as an on-air personality by playing the character "Stuttering" Stu Michaels. Sparky used that momentum to cruise into Milwaukee radio a short time later. He landed a gig at WISN-AM as producer of The World’s Greatest Sports Talk Show, staying in that role for 6 years.

When WSSP launched in 2005, Sparky joined the roster. One of the most busy personalities on the station, you can hear him on The Big Show(Weekday Afternoons 2-6pm), Sparky’s Final Inspection (Saturdays 12p-2p), Milwaukee's Real Basketball Post Game Show (after Bucks games)and the Usinger's Baseball Post Game Show (after Brewers games). When he's not on the air, you can catch the avid NASCAR fan following the exploits of his favorite driver, Kevin Harvick.

Josh Vernier

Josh Vernier spends his afternoon going through the latest sports news on The Big Show, trying to keep the peace between Gary Ellerson and Steve 'Sparky" Fifer. Vernier is also the host of The Farmer's Insurance On Deck Show. Most recently, Vernier worked at WTKA-AM in Ann Arbor/Detroit, Michigan.

After serving as the station's executive producer, he was named afternoon host in 2004, moving to mornings in 2006. The ultimate utility player, Vernier was a show host, producer, reporter and play-by-play announcer during his time there. Josh currently serves as a reporter for Fox Sports Radio at select Milwaukee/Green Bay events.  He's a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and is an avid baseball fan, serving as host for the Detroit Tigers caravan in 2006. He currently lives on Milwaukee's eastside.

Ramie Mahklouf

Ramie Makhlouf (AKA Sir Ramie Makhlouf, AKA Tres Locos Man, AKA Rocky California, AKA Francis, AKA The Big Selfish), having grown up in Palatine, Illinois, is the resident Chicago fan (Cubs, Bears, Bulls) at SportsRadio 1250 WSSP.  Ramie graduated in 2004 from UW-Parkside with a Bachelors Degree in communication and started his broadcasting career as an intern at WRJN in Racine, where he eventually worked his way up to producing all things sports on the station.

He's been with WSSP since 2005 and when he's not trying to keep The Big Show on track, you can catch Ramie as the producer and update anchor of The Usinger's Baseball Post-Game Show and Sunday mornings (10-noon) during the football season, as the co-host (along with Tim Allen) of Fantasy Football Weekly.  A few interesting facts about Ramie: he's dabbled in stand-up comedy, seen Phish in concert fifteen times, and lived in Madison for a couple of years in the height of The Ron Dayne Era. Ramie currently resides in Kenosha with his parents and dog, Rocky.
