About Mike McGivern



Coach McGivern has been SportsRadio 1250 WSSP’s High School Insider for the last four years. Born and raised in Milwaukee, he attended Messmer H.S. and UW-Milwaukee. He has a wealth of prep coaching experience, including stops as a basketball coach at Whitefish Bay Dominican and Calvary Baptist. After 33 years with the clipboard Mike has retired from coaching to watch his son play at Maranatha Baptist Bible College.

About Tom Swittel:
Tom was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, on May 3, 1957, to Tom and Marie Swittel. He graduated from Milwaukee Marquette University High School in 1975. Tom lettered in football, baseball, and wrestling at Marquette and played for WFCA Hall of Fame coach Dick Basham.

Swittel played football at the collegiate level at St. Norbert College in De Pere for WFCA Hall of Fame coach Howie Kolstad. He is the head coach at Brookfield East (2010-present), former head coach at Whitefish Bay Dominican and Tosa East. Inducted into WFCA Hall of Fame in 2009. Former president of the WFCA.
