More About The Show

About Mike McGivern



Coach McGivern has been SportsRadio 1250 WSSP’s High School Insider for the last four years. Born and raised in Milwaukee, he attended Messmer H.S. and UW-Milwaukee. He has a wealth of prep coaching experience, including stops as a basketball coach at Whitefish Bay Dominican and Calvary Baptist. After 33 years with the clipboard Mike has retired from coaching to watch his son play at Maranatha Baptist Bible College.

About Joe Koch:


Joe Koch graduated from Catholic Memorial in 1977 and earned his BS from the University of Arizona. In 1989 Koch became the Head Coach at Dominican HS; a program that did not have a winning season in 33 years. 

Koch took over an Oak Creek program that finished last in the conference the previous 7 years and led them to 116 wins 8 conference championships, two state semi-finals and two state championship runner-ups. 

In 2007 Joe became the Offensive Coordinator at Catholic Memorial under HOF Coach Bill Young and then 2009 accepted the challenge to turn around his third program at Pius XI High School.  In only his second year Joe led Pius to the playoffs.

2011+2012 Koch coached at Brookfield Central as the Offensive Coordinator. 
2013 has taken over as the Head coach at Greenfield HS

In 19 years as Head Coach, his teams have had 145 Wins and just 60 losses.
