Sparky's Final Inspection

Saturday, Noon - 2:00pm

Whether you're a NASCAR lover, IRL nut, F1 freak or just looking for the Big Johnson trailer on the midway, you'll want to listen every week and call in! The first thing you'll realize when listening to NASCAR Girl Summer Santana and Steve "Sparky" Fifer is that they like having fun and both are very passionate. Roush Racing is the favorite of Summer while Kevin Harvick is the favorite of Sparky. Both of them are not fans of Dale, Jr, Danica Patrick, and races on TNT.

Bull vs Sparky
I had a chance to ride a mechanical bull last night at Bootz Country Bar. I'm not sure if it's a \"manly\" thing to do or not, my friend Lex in Arizona, claimed only women who are seeking attention get up on the mechanical bulls. Remember, I was the one...

Open Wheel Focus

With Matt Regashus & Steve Zautke

Steve Zautke grew up at the Milwaukee Mile. His father, Bill was a movie photographer at The Mile in the 1960's and 1970's. Steve loved following the exploits of exciting USAC Stock Car drivers Norm Nelson, Don White, Bay Darnell, Ramo Stott and Butch Hartman. Also a fan of Indy Cars, the first racecar he sat in was Bobby Unser's exquisite Olsonite Eagle in the early-1970's. Steve's favorite drivers were the aforementioned Unser, SuperTex A.J. Foyt, Jim Hurtubise, and of course Wisconsin's own, Alan Kulwicki.

Today Steve likes Tony Stewart and Robby Gordon, two throwbacks to an earlier era and thinks it's a travesty that Erik Darnell does not have a full-time ride. A fan of all racing, Steve loves Road America, would love to visit the Nurburgring in Germany and still loves to see the USAC boys mix it up on the dirt. Steve has worked in track safety as an EMT, as a videographer, media center volunteer, on-line reporter, editor of RacingNation.com and the Harry Miller Club Newsletter and Milwaukee Mile Historian. Steve has co-hosted Sparky's Final Inspection when his busy racing schedule has allowed since the beginning.
